The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has initiated a surprise large-scale drill, named “Dawn,” on Sunday to evaluate the preparedness of its general headquarters and major command centres for a potential multi-front attack. Reported by the Jerusalem Post, Led by Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Eyal Zamir, the exercise involved surprise scenarios and multi-threat operations through all possibilities. And aim is to enhance the readiness of all units and evaluate the IDF’s speed, coordination, and effectiveness in unexpected threats. IDF Comptroller Brig. Gen. (res.) Ofer Sarig and his team are monitoring the drill, analysing both quality and efficiencies under pressure during the operation. The military stated that inspections will continue through all commands and units to enhance readiness. The drill includes active operations, including an airstrike on a Hezbollah operative in southern Lebanon, accused of gathering intelligence on Israeli forces in violation of the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon.
